Join the ICON Care of Collection group on the 19th August 2020 for a webinar from Fran Coles, Conservation and Documentation Manager for Bristol Culture.
The Black Lives Matter protests were a significant moment in recent events and reached their climax with the toppling of the Edward Colston statue. It marked a significant moment in Bristol’s history as a city. During this talk Coles will focus on the practical aspects of documenting and treating objects from the protest during lockdown. Including how the team worked to preserve objects with limited access to equipment and materials. Coles will also touch on the challenges and opportunities that have arisen from working on the project.
