Come out and support the Reed Family in their pursuit of justice for their loved one, James Scott Reed, and protect others from the same fate. On October 3rd, at 2pm we will be expressing our right to assembly while respecting social distancing. We will begin the event by lining up in our vehicles at the Twice as Funny Comedy Club parking lot. There we will listen to some important speakers from the Killeen community. Then we will drive a predetermined route and make noise along the way. Participants are encouraged to decorate their vehicles in support (no violent remarks or anti police verbiage please). This event is aimed to be a unifying event for the Killeen community to rally around an important cause. This is a peaceful event and violence will not be tolerated.
We hope to see you all there and please share this event far and wide so we can show the Reed Family that Killeen cares.
James’ Story:
On February 27th, 2019 at 6:00 am, Killeen PD executed a “No Knock Warrant,” at James’ house. They shot and killed him while he was in bed ASLEEP. KPD claimed he was shooting at them first. There is no documented evidence showing that James fired a gun that day. The police fired more than twenty shots at outside of James’ house. During the investigation, former KPD officer Anthony Custance, violated protocol by tampering with evidence. Which led to, him being charged and convicted. KPD individual officer statements, whom were on the scene, are all wildly inconsistent, some saying they heard shots coming from James’ house directed at them, while others mention they DID NOT hear shots. This case needs to be reopened so justice can be served.
“No Knock Warrants” are a death sentence. This is where we need YOUR help. We need support in our efforts so we can make sure that this doesn’t happen to anybody else. Help support our cause to End “No Knock Warrants,” so that we can honor James Scott Reed by protecting others.
