‘Get Off Our Necks’ March on Washington
About this Event
Born out of the protest movement that has risen up since the police killing of George Floyd, the ‘Get Off Our Necks’ March on Washington will be a day of action that will demonstrate our commitment to fighting for reform of the police and the nation’s criminal justice system.
The Commitment March will take place on August 28th 2020 — the 57th anniversary of the historic March on Washington, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech.
Let us know if you will be marching with us in D.C. on August 28th!
Buses will leave from MPTCS High School parking lot. Time is TBD.
PLEASE NOTE:
To protect your health and the health of others, in compliance with COVID-19 Washington, DC Health Guidance for Conservation of Personal Protective Equipment, you are required to wear a PPE mask in public in Washington, DC.
