Flushing Meadows Corona Park
I hope all is well with you and your loved ones. We are in a very difficult and trying time. From the pandemic and systemic racism to rampant injustices and prejudices, sexual assaults, sex trafficking and organ harvesting—it seems the world has gone mad.
But maybe we’ve also just been given the opportunity to slow down, sit down and pay attention to what’s really important.
The question is, what do we do now? If you’re anything like me, you’ve been enraged and have been protesting /doing everything in your power to stimulate change. That may mean that, like me, you have experienced burnout. It is inevitable, especially if you don’t replenish yourself with love, fun, joy, and positive energy.
That’s what the Rage Against The Machine (RAGE ATM) rally is about. Rage ATM will give us the space and opportunity to go through and feel all of the stages of emotion these difficult times bring up.
Many of us don’t have a positive, safe way to get out our anger; a platform to express ourselves creatively; or an opportunity to connect and socialize with people who share our feelings and who might offer advice or insight. Rage ATM is the opportunity to build and pour into ourselves while supporting Black and minority-owned businesses. This rally will have water activities, raffles, live music, free refreshments, and lots of black /minority businesses offering their services throughout the day.
Please donate to support this event and future ones to come. 75% of Proceeds will be donated to black owned business.
