Immigration authorities apprehended a record-setting 76,020 unaccompanied minors at or near the U.S.-Mexico border during the 2019 fiscal year.

In early June the government said it had expelled at least 2,175 “single minors” under the health declaration . The four countries where they were returned count about 1,700. Where are the missing children? When asked, citing litigation, the current administration stopped providing that data.

Find out why are we keeping kids in cages and what can be done about it? Hear from Warren H. Binford, a children’s rights attorney and tenured law professor at Willamette University, who has visited the detention centers and testified in front of congress about what she has seen.
