Dallas, Texas – June 28, 2020 – That Boy is S.M.A.R.T, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on uplifting, educating, and empowering young boys to become upstanding men in the community, is teaming up with Ambitious, Epitome Magazine, Chris Howell Foundation, and Project Unity to bring the first Change Is Now March and Rally to Dallas.
The Change Is Now March, and Rally will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. CST. The march will start at the Dallas Police Headquarters at 1400 S. Lamar St. Dallas, Texas 75215 and march to the Dallas City Hall where each approved community and political leaders, pastors, protestors, and founders will be allowed to speak for 3 to 5 minutes following the opening prayer.
Todrick Johnson, Epitome Magazine and That Boy Is S.M.A.R.T, founder: “The purpose of this peaceful demonstration is to gather 5,000 men/boys of all ages to speak out against the racial discrimination, systemic oppression, and building up our communities,” he says. “We’re not just speaking out against the heinous crimes that have plagued black men and women; we are also sending a message on black on black crime, voter registration, and taking control of our communities.” The Change Is Now March and Rally will truly be a historical event. That Boy is S.M.A.R.T. is a purpose-driven organization focused on transforming the lives of young boys from the inside out. That Boy is S.M.A.R.T.™ (T.B.I.S.) is a non-profit 501c3 organization developed for the primary purpose of educating and empowering young boys to overcome the mental and emotional roadblocks that have restricted and or limited their potential development so they can become men. The core of our organization is centered on the positive development of boys between the ages of 6-18 who are at-risk youth or need assistance to meet and address their emotional, core issues, and educational needs to create systemic change.
