The Black Lives Matter Movement in the US and around the world has shown that we do not live in post-racial societies. The session will look at how the forms of racism discussed above continue to be embedded in today’s societies. It will also look at the various ways that this racism has been countered. Workers’ Liberty seeks to make combating racism a central concern of the labour movement, seeking an immediate struggle for the demands of those subject to racism and class unity around these demands as a necessary step on the road to ending capitalism and the racism embedded within it.
