In honor of the 57th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s March on Washington, we will march from 12th and Locust to the Liberty Memorial. Sponsored by the Big 3 civil rights groups — SCLC, NAACP and Urban League — and supported by a host of others, we call for an end to racism and brutality by the Kansas City, Mo., Police Department! We’ll be Rocking the Vote on Nov. 3!
We will honor civil rights and protest work in our community. And we will lift up a new generation of leaders. Mask up and join (at a safe distance) the city’s leading civil rights groups, old and new, in peaceful protest.
